Renewable Energy in Power Sector of Pakistan

LOCATION:Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore & Peshawar, Pakistan
CLIENT: USTDA (with AEDB and NEPRA locally)
WORK SCOPE: USPC traveled to some of the field sites to evaluate 13 projects in renewable energy proposed by the private sector and government agencies of Pakistan. USPC also met with Government officials and reviewed the existing energy laws and their influence on the proposed projects.
SERVICES PROVIDED: Pre-feasibility assessments of the proposed projects were conducted and three projects were recommended for feasibility studies funding as well as capacity building of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority
- 5-10 MW Waste to Energy Project, Karachi;
- 10 MW Wind Project, Gharo-Keti Corridor;
- Renewable Energy Orientation Visit; and
- NEPRA Capacity Building Project.
